ode to gravity is an interior design and custom furniture studio established by sara reeble, based in Brooklyn and The bay area. Driven by the grounding force of our unique personal environments, Sara seeks to construct A benevolent order within space, creating opportunities to commune with our sense of self and come into being individually and collectively.
Ode to gravity celebrates design that honors curiosity, collaboration, labor and craft and thrives while animating concepts at all points in a project, from client engagement to in-the-field work with architectural partners, tradespeople and fabricators.
History
Sara Reeble, Principal of Ode to Gravity, has worked closely with creative collaborators for over 10 years to realize inspired interior environments for clients around the country. With a background in residential design and custom home decor, Sara completed the UC Berkeley Extension Interior Architecture and Design program with honors. This formal education built upon Sara’s early interest in design, born from studying the CAD plans of her childhood home and marveling at the transference of simple symbols to complex architectural elements with celebrated details.
Projects
Readied with a robust philosophical, technical and real-world understanding of interior design, Sara flourished for several years as a Senior Designer with Studio Becky Carter which has been recognized in leading publications such as Galerie, Interior Design Magazine, and Architectural Digest, featuring the Yosemite, Glendome and Dogpatch projects. California Home + Design recently awarded their work at the Clif Family Winery and offices with the 2024 Winery Design Award.
